Why permissions matter
Without permissions, core features like screen time limits do not run — the app stays in educational-only mode.
Screen Time Management
Plytopia works together with the QuestPly Parent app to help families build healthier digital habits.
Plytopia uses Android's AccessibilityService API solely to support screen time management features requested and configured by parents.
Accessibility Service
We use Accessibility Service to detect which app is currently in the foreground. This allows us to enforce your time limits by blocking restricted apps.
What we access
- Package name of the active app used for monitoring time
- Window state change events only
What we do NOT access
- Screen content, text, or images
- Passwords, keystrokes, or personal data
- Notifications, messages, or contacts
- Files, media, or any user content
Your data is never shared with third parties.
Usage Stats Access
Reads app usage duration to track how long you spend in each app. This data is stored locally on your device only.
Overlay Permission
Shows time-limit warnings and block screens on top of other apps when your limits are reached.
Notifications
Sends alerts when your screen time is almost up or when limits are reached.
Battery Exemption (optional)
Prevents the Android system from stopping our monitoring service when the phone is idle.
Privacy First
